Gait Analysis
The Motion Analysis Laboratory at Djavad Mowafaghian Research Center for Neuro-rehabilitation brings state-of the art technology to the investigation and novel treatment of motor impairments in individuals with neurological disorders including stroke, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s Disease, cerebral palsy and multiple sclerosis.
Our team of clinicians and engineers from top universities is dedicated to enhancing independency and quality of life in individuals with limited mobility. The lab is one of the country’s pre-eminent research labs in the development of assistive technologies and musculoskeletal modeling for rehabilitation.
A comprehensive database of over 4000 subjects has been collected during the past four years. To optimally manage cerebral palsy, the decision is made based on musculoskeletal simulation results in a consensus session with experts in orthopaedic surgery, physical therapy and rehabilitation, biomechanics, orthotics and occupational therapy. We strive to achieve the goal to get individuals with motor impairment back to society and work.
